We Know Your Car
We are a classic Mercedes-Benz shop, first and foremost. We have the parts, tools, and knowledge to get the job done right. We have the experience to tune the carburetors on your 1967 230S, solve a starting issue on your 1970 280SL, or maximize the performance of your 1982 240D. In short, we know how your car should behave and perform.
Attention to detail
It's our goal to ensure your car performs as it was originally intended. We use the highest quality parts, follow the manufacturer's specifications, and are detail-oriented to ensure each job is done properly. Our mindset is to ensure long-term reliability so your car can be enjoyed today and by future generations.
In addition to functional repairs, we can cosmetically restore mechanical systems to look as they did when the car was new.
Indoor Storage
We understand how important it is to protect and respect your car while it's in our care. Our 8,300 square foot facility allows us to store your car indoors. We will never leave your car outside exposed to the elements while awaiting repair work.
our Services
We can sort out all the mechanical issues with your car to bring it back to full functionality and reliable condition. Tell us about your goals and concerns, and we'll work together to create a plan for your car that fits your needs, timeline, and budget.
From spark plugs and valve adjustments to fluid changes and filters, we use parts and procedures that meet Mercedes-Benz specifications to keep your car running its best.
If you have a car that's been sitting, whether it be a few months or a few decades, we can get it back on the road.
testimonials
Jaime Kopchinski's Classic Workshop is the only place I feel comfortable taking my classic Mercedes, despite the fact that I live 180 miles away. I'd rather ship my cars or drive the 3 hours to get to his shop for two reasons... Knowledge and Trust. Jaime's KNOWLEDGE of classic Mercedes is incredible and with just one conversation, you'll learn that he genuinely loves the continual diagnosis and problem solving that is the life of a vintage Mercedes technician. I TRUST Jaime when he tells me there is something that needs to be taken care of immediately and that there are a couple of things we should consider doing next time. He treats my cars like he treats his own. Jaime keeps me informed about what he's doing and why, along with the costs involved. I won't go anywhere else.
Jaime has been fantastic to deal with – he’s a huge car enthusiast and a very talented mechanic! I have 3 classic Mercedes that I’ve trusted with Jaime the last few years. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and a man of integrity – values that are hard to find these days.
I can’t recommend him highly enough.
Having owned 7 classic Mercedes-Benz cars, having the right shop perform needed work is as important as finding the right car. With my most recent acquisition, a 1971 113-280SL, I was having an interment issue for over a year. Three previous shops were unable to resolve the issue, I then found Jaime at Classic Workshop. The car runs better than the day I bought it; wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. Thank You.
